Papawai Country House is a spacious Greytown Holiday Home in Rural Papawai. Located exactly 3km down Papawai Road off State Highway 2, this renovated 1908 Villa has 2 x Bathrooms and 4 x Bedrooms, and comfortably sleeps 10 people. Set on a 3-acre property with a few black-faced sheep, it has an outdoor pool in summer, lawn badminton/volleyball court, a swing, trampoline and games room with a table tennis table.

The Wairarapa is renowned for its cycling landscape, and, for novices, there is the easy terrain of the new Rail Trail, accessible from Cotter St (off Humphries Rd). Greytown's Main St (just minutes away by car) offers great cafes, beautiful clothing and antique shops where many a happy hour can be whiled away. Nearby also is Tate's Scenic Reserve which offers the opportunity for a 5-minute stroll through native bush.

It would be remiss not to mention, within walking distance from the house, both the beautiful Papawai Marae, steeped in local and national history, and the Wairarapa Soaring Centre, a hub for lower North Island gliding enthusiasts!

With a variety of activities to suit all age groups this holiday home is not only an ideal place for families to spend time together but also highly sought after for those girls'/boys' weekends away.

Papawai Country House is available for midweek stays, weekends and extended holidays.

The owners welcome late checkouts, so simply enquire when booking.

Thank you john and ruth for another wonderful stay at papawai country house. Such a beautiful, relaxing location. A spacious, comfortable house, where everything has been thought of. A wonderful place to relax and refuel - and the kids adore the pool, large garden, games room (and the sheep!). We will be back :-).

Just wanted to say a big thank-you for letting rent your place over in the waiarapa. It was the perfect venue for my girls weekend and everyone was really excited to be there. From the comfortable beds, big spaces, gorgeous furniture and wonderful scenery it was just amazing!.

This is an awesome location, and a perfect weekend away even in rainy weather. Beware though, we found that table tennis is highly addictive! we'll be back for sure.
