Very helpful staff, couldn't do more for us, including driving us to our restaurant for the dinner we were in town for.
Unfortunately the shared bathrooms let them down. One shower had just a dribble of hot water, and the other had gallons of very hot water but getting the cold water to just right was a real trial. Very tired decor in the bathrooms, but clean.
Bedroom was ok. Sheets were clean as was the room, but not huge space.
All in all, we get what we paid for. I would come again, but only reluctantly. I would not stay again. No welcome on our arrival, just a key handed to us and directions to the room. No water in the water cooler, and when i made a cup of tea the milk in the fridge had expired a month earlier. When we handed the key back nothing was said, no 'we hope you enjoyed your stay', not even 'thank you for staying with us'. I don't mind small rooms, stained baths (as long as they are clean), a fridge in the room that did not work, and no robes that were advertised, but i do mind slack service. Although we booked a twin and ended up with a double through a mix up we had a great stay. The bedrooms are small but charming. The staff were really helpful - they carried our bags up to our room. The food was great and the place was child friendly. Great desserts! |
